TCSW represents your interests in the community and across the state, acting as a hub for accessing important TCSW and member events, training on human services and critical public policy resources.
Training in public policy issues and service delivery effectiveness is a hallmark of TCSW, with thirty years of training experience. In 2007-2008, state and regional conferences offered over 110 workshops and policy discussions involving over 885 individuals throughout Tennessee. Workshop topics as varied as Advocacy 101, Mentoring Now for the Future, EITC Access, Enhancing the Economy of Poor Rural Communities, Achieving Educational Excellence in Tennessee, Community-Based Change Strategies, Excercing Community Power to Stop the Cycle of Incarceration; Pre-K in Tennessee, One Call Club for Seniors: A New Approach to Community Collaboration, Systems of Care for Children's Mental Health, Changing the Landscape for Home and Community Based Services, Restorative Justice, and many other topics highlighted basic strategies to yield long-term change.
